Frantic Films

Frantic Films is a Canadian award-winning live action and visual effects production company based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It employs over 100 people in Winnipeg, Vancouver, BC and Los Angeles. Frantic Films is also known for producing live action reality shows and documentaries, many concerned with Canadian history.
The Software division, Frantic Films Software, produces a range of applications and plug-ins for both in-house and commercial use, including the Deadline Network Management System, the Krakatoa Volumetric Particle Renderer and the Awake Suite of Tools for Eyeon Fusion 5.
In November 2007, the Frantic Films Visual Effects and Frantic Films Software divisions were acquired by Prime Focus, while the Live Action and Commercials departments remain a separate company.
