Frans Suell (9 June 1744 - 5 November 1818) was a Swedish businessman. His grandfather Franz Suell immigrated to Malmö from Holstein in the mid 1700s. Frans grew up working in his father Niclas' shop selling mostly provisions, he also studied two years at Lund University. However, Frans Suell is most known for founding the Malmö harbour.

Two ships has been named in his honour: M/T Frans Suell (1958) and M/S Frans Suell (1992)
