Franklyn Seales (July 15, 1952 – May 21, 1990) was an American film and television actor.

After attending Juilliard, Seales went on to appear in various television productions of Shakespearean plays including Macbeth and The Taming of the Shrew where he played the role of Petruchio. Seales then portrayed Dexter Stuffins in the sitcom Silver Spoons from 1983 to 1987, followed by guest appearances on Wiseguy, Growing Pains, and Amen. Seales' movie appearances include The Onion Field, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, and Southern Comfort.[1]
In addition to acting, Seales was also a painter.[1]

On May 21, 1990, Seales died in Brooklyn, New York of AIDS. He was 37 years old.
