Franklin Turnpike (New Jersey)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Franklin Turnpike is a 10-mile long road in northern New Jersey between the parallel intersection on Route 17 in Ridgewood, New Jersey and the New York state line in Mahwah. Between Ho-Ho-Kus and Mahwah, Franklin Turnpike is known as County Route 507. At its southern terminus in Ridgewood, Franklin Turnpike makes a sharp curve right after the parallel intersection of Route 17 and becomes Glen Avenue. At its northern terminus, Franklin Turnpike continues into New York state as Orange Avenue, which is a portion of U.S. Route 202. Originally it was from Mahwah through Waldwick, but an extension (through Ho-Ho-Kus) was later built in 1936 to connect with NJ 2 (today's Route 17.)
