Frank and Ernest

"Frank and Ernest" was originally a vaudeville bit that went (something like):
Player 1: "I really do feel that we need to be frank and earnest about this matter."
Player 2: " Right. You be Frank and I'll be Ernest."
The Frank and Ernest juxtaposition was of course too good to let go of and has subsequently been appropriated by others. Wikipedia currently includes the following articles entitled "Frank and Ernest":
