Frank B. Wood is the Iowa State Senator from the 42nd District. The activities director and assistant principal at North Scott High School in Eldridge, Wood has served in the Iowa Senate since 2004.

Wood currently serves on several committees in the Iowa Senate - the Appropriations committee; the Education committee; the Human Resources committee; the Natural Resources and Environment committee; and the State Government committee. He also serves as chair of the Education Appropriations Subcommittee.

Wood was elected in 2004 with 15,500 votes, defeating Republican opponent Bryan J. Sievers. [1] Prior to his election, Wood served as mayor of Eldridge.
