Frank James Clarke (born 15 July 1942) is the eldest of five brothers who played in the English Football League.
Frank was born in Willenhall, Staffordshire. After playing non-league football for Willlenhall Town, he played for Shrewsbury Town (1961-1968): 118 league appearances and 79 goals; Queens Park Rangers (1968-1970): 67 appearances and 17 goals; Ipswich Town (1970-1973): 62+4 substitute appearances and 15 goals; and Carlisle United (1973-1978): 121+5 substitute appearances and 30 goals as a profific centre-forward.
His younger brothers Allan, Derek, Kelvin and Wayne Clarke all played league football, and Frank is the only one of them who did not represent Walsall.
