Detective Senior Constable Frank Holloway (Francis James Holloway) was a fictional character in the Australian police drama Water Rats who was portrayed by Colin Friels. Frank was one of the original characters in the series when it started in 1996. When the show started him and his partner Rachel Goldstein were the two original main characters in the show.
Frank grew up on the Sydney wharfs and became a cop, much to the dismay of his father. He had two younger brothers, Jimmy and Kevin, the latter was murdered by Frank's best friend in season one. He had been married and divorced twice and had no children.
Frank left the series in 1999, sailing off to Venezuela in his boat called 'Footloose'.
