Frank Harthoorn (born: November 29, 1968) was born, raised and still resides in Goes, and is best known for his position as guitarist (rhythm and occasional lead) in Gorefest. He is also one of the two founding members of the band.[1]

After Gorefest split up in 1999, Harthoorn co-founded The Hollow Men in 2001, a dutch rockband that has drawn comparisons to Hüsker Dü, Screaming Trees, Queens Of The Stone Age, Foo Fighters and Entombed.[2]

In 2004 Harthoorn left The Hollow Men to take part in the reunited Gorefest. In 2007, he wrote the linernotes to the vinyl re-issue of Chapter 13[3]
