Frank Charles

Franklin Scott "Frank" Charles (born February 24, 1969, in Fontana, California), is a professional baseball catcher.

Charles attended California State University, Fullerton.

He was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 17th Round of the 1991 amateur entry draft.

In March 1994 he was purchased by the Rangers from St Paul (Northern).

In March 1998 he was signed as free agent by the Giants, and in December 1998 by the Padres.

In January 1999 he was signed as free agent by the Astros.

In 2000 he played four games for the Houston Astros, batting .429.

Through 2004, in 10 minor league seasons he batted .273.
