Frank Baumann (born October 29, 1975 in Würzburg (Bavaria)) is a German footballer. He currently plays for the German club SV Werder Bremen, as a defensive midfielder or center back.

Having started out as a midfielder at 1. FC Nuremberg, Baumann's talents were soon recognized in a defensive position, and he moved in 1999 to SV Werder Bremen, where he eventually became club captain.

Baumann featured in 28 internationals, scoring two goals. He played his debut for Germany in a 1-0 victory against Norway in Oslo on November 14, 1999. Baumann also took part in the 2002 FIFA World Cup (appearing in the round-of-16 match against Paraguay) and the 2004 European Football Championship (two matches).
