[edit] The Founder
After the mantle of office of the Anglo-Indian community fell on Mr. Frank Anthony in 1942, the burden on his shoulders did not impede the lightness of his step. In those pioneering days his community had to find its place and identity in the Indian Sun. What Mr. Anthony with his characteristic dexterity and dynamism had done to accomplish this, is now part of history.
Mr. Frank Anthony was a member of the Constituent Assembly and will always be remembered for his protean personality-prolific writer and resourceful speaker, keen debater and eminent jurist; brilliant academician and erudite educationist, and above all Member of Parliament. What he had done for the cause of Anglo-Indian Education and the eminence of English will forever remain his magnum opus. Under his guidance the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, has for years been and continues to be one of the most prestigious Examining Boards in the Country.
The richest legacy he leaves behind are the three Public Schools that bear his name.
On 2 December 1993 this venerable octogenarian passed away in the nation's capital.

School Clubs
The Interact Club
The Interact Club, affiliated to the Rotary Club of Bangalore, Indiranagar has been active in our school for a number of years. The objective of all Interact Clubs is to promote interaction among children. The Interact Club of the Frank Anthony Public School has a student body consisting of eight office bearers : a president and a treasurer who are elected, a vice-president and secretary who are chosen by the President and four directors.
Like last year, the Interact club started off by conducting a newspaper drive throughout the school in which we collected Rs 3000. Presently, the club is are collecting rice from the students of standards 10 and 11 which will be given away to orphanages. Our greatest task this year will be to organise the FAPS fest "Expressions" and taking part in various charity runs and also to play an active part in helping the poor.
The Pen And Ink Club
The Pen and Ink club is dedicated towards providing opportunities to 'closet writers' and allowing them to display hitherto unseen talent. We have held essay writing competitions and spelling bees for standards 6,7 and 8. Members of the Pen and Ink club also compiled Courage 2004-2005 and Courage 2005-2006, the annual school magazine. Both were very valuable learning experiences, for the students worked hard relentlessly on every single page - editing text, pictures, fonts and clipart, to bring out the school magazine.
Quiz Club
Quizzing is an activity that arouses the curiosity of today's youth. It is a hobby that has always been entertaining and absorbing to a student. It is also very exciting and keeps one's adrenaline levels high all the time. The foundation of our Quiz Club is based on the curiosity to seek knowledge.
The Quiz Club endeavours to bring the students from classes six to ten, and apply ourselves in nurturing this hobby in them. The members of the Quiz Club, especially the juniors have responded positively and their attitude towards quizzing has and will continue to be a source of inspiration for us.
The Club holds regular meeting for its members to increase the boundaries of their knowledge with regards to various topics. This year we have also started a 'Question of the week' with prizes sponsored by Mr.Hart. The questions set for this contest are sure to tickle a student's curiosity. The aim of this contest is to provide the students with an incentive to do some research at home, so as to sharpen their knowledge.
The members are given ample opportunities to showcase their talents. There are hordes and hordes of inter-school quizzes organised every year to keep a quizzer busy all year round. Apart from these there are literary fests which include quizzing as one of its events. IT-quizzes, Sports quizzes and Science quizzes even allow the students to specialize in one or two topics.
However the most daunting task of the FAPS Quiz Club is to organize the T.E.Alan Memorial Quiz or 'Quizmatazz'. 'Quizmatazz' is a general knowledge quiz held annually. 'Quizmatazz' calls upon the best brains of Bangalore to participate in this entertaining Quiz. It is eagerly awaited by all quiz buffs, all over Bangalore city. It is one of the few quizzes that include a high level of competition.
The Literary Club
The Litt Cub takes care of all literary activities in the school. This club coordinates all the inter-school fests which the school takes part in. All organisational matters related to registering the school for these inter-school fests are handled exclusively by the members themselves.
The Computer Club
The Computer Club of the Frank Anthony Public School was started in October 1999 with the main objective of promoting computers and programming in FAPS. Since then the Computer Club has done extremely well in creating young software developers and quizzers. The members of the club have bagged many prizes in various competitions related to Computers and IT. The computer club also created this official website of FAPS.
With the modernisation of the computer lab with Celerons and Pentium 4's, the club hopes to conduct various Inter-class and Inter-School quizzes and Software Development competitions this year.
