Frank is the Ivor Novello Award nominated debut album by English singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse, released by Island Records in October 2003 in the UK, and in the United States on 20 November 2007. It was nominated for two BRIT Awards and was short-listed for the Mercury Music Prize.[2] The album spawned the singles "Stronger Than Me", "Take the Box", "In My Bed"/"You Sent Me Flying", and "Pumps"/"Help Yourself". The title is a reference to her pet dog of the time, Frank, also mentioned in the track "Take the Box". Also listed on the list of 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.

Frank received overwhelmingly positive reviews both in the UK on original release and in the US, earning it 84/100 on Metacritic.[3] Billboard called the album "stellar" and Winehouse's vocals "wobblier than now, yet still astounding."[4]
The album entered the UK Albums Chart at No.60 before climbing to number thirteen in January 2004. It has since been certified double platinum for shipment of more than 600,000 copies. During the chart run of Winehouse's second album, 2006's Back to Black, Frank re-entered the UK Albums Chart at No.22 in February 2007, as well as at No.40 on two separate occasions in May 2007, becoming a mainstay of the UK album chart throughout 2007. As of November 2007 it has sold a total of 495,891 copies in the UK. As of mid-March 2008, it had sold 675,000 copies in the UK, and has sold 362,700 since February 2007, making it 2007's 37th biggest-selling album, despite being released four years earlier.
After its US release, the album sold approximately 22,000 copies in its first week of release there, coming in at #61. As of March 1, 2008 Since the 2008 Grammy Awards, the album has re-entered the chart and climbed up to #67.
The album will be reissued in the UK on 12 May 2008.[5] This deluxe edition will include an eighteen-track bonus disc, including rare tracks, remixes, b-sides, and live performances.
In New Zealand, with the album re-released as a "Deluxe Edition", it debuted at number twenty-six on the week starting May 19 2008. Nearly five years after it was originaly released.[6] In Germany it climbed back up to number 16.
