Frank's Mom
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Frank's Mom is an audio-verité recording, similar in style to The Tube Bar Recordings and Shut Up, Little Man!. It features heated conversations between Frank and his mother over several years, which Frank secretly taped onto cassette.
[edit] Origins
Little is definitively known about this recording, although it seems to take place in the northeastern United States (either Long Island, New York, New Jersey, or central Connecticut) in the 1980's. Frank's mother's speech suggests a Boston accent, as it is noticeably non-rhotic.
Vigorous speculation on the provenance of this recording is currently underway on the Frank's Mom Speculation Page. A popular theory suggests that the Frank's Mom MySpaceTM page creator is Frank, and is keeping a low profile due to the sensitive nature of the recording.
[edit] Plot summary
Frank is home from Boston University for the summer, with loose plans to secure employment as a gas station attendant. His mother disagrees vehemently, with this and other aspects of his life, and berates him.
