Francisco Manuel Durán Vázquez (born April 28, 1988 in Málaga) is a Spanish footballer with Liverpool F.C. Francisco is a midfielder who began his career with his home town club, Málaga CF, before joining Liverpool on January 31, 2007.Manchester United and Arsenal also offered the youngster a contract but he felt Liverpool to be the better option due to their Spanish manager and the number of Spanish players at the club.[1]
Duran returned from a nine month injury spell in December of 2007 with a 76th minute substitute appearance in the mini-derby [2]. However, Duran suffered another injury to his ACL later than month in a game against Spurs, and is not expected to be back to fitness until June.
