Francisco Eppens Helguera

Francisco Eppens Helguera (1913-1990) is a Mexican artist who designed various paintings, murals and sculptures in Mexico. He was born in San Luis Potosí. Some of his pantings included "Las Hermanas" (The Sisters) and "Contrafuertes Coloniales" (Colonial Contafuertes). Eppens was also credited for designing the 1968 version of the Mexican coat of arms, which is still used today on government documents, coins and the national flag.
