[edit] Real Betis

Chaparro took charge of Betis on the final day of the 2006/2007 season, beating Racing Santander 2-0 to achieve safety status for Betis from certain relegation, following the sacking of Luis Fernández. During the summer of 2007 Paco was reinstated as Real Betis B coach and Héctor Cúper became manager of Real Betis. However, due to unfortunate results, Cúper was fired. Paco Chaparro took over officially as Betis manager in early December and won his first match 1-0 away from home to Villarreal CF.
