Francis Turner (cricketer)

Francis Irving Turner was a first class cricketer. He was born on 3rd September 1894 in Barnsley and played 5 games for Yorkshire CCC in 1924. A right handed batsman and right arm medium pace bowler, he found success hard to come by, scoring just 33 runs with a highest score of 12. He later played for Scotland in 1935. His brother Cyril Turner and nephew Brian Turner also played first class cricket.
