Francis Mundy 29 August 1771 – 1836 was the eldest of two sons and heir of Francis Noel Clarke Mundy who was a magistrate and poet of Markeaton near Derby. This Francis became a member of parliament for Derby.

Mundy married Sarah Newton on 1800 and had a son, William Mundy in 1801. Francis became a member of parliament for Derby.
His first daughter was Marian, his second daughter, Laura, died on September 1, 1842 in London.[1] His third daughter was Emily, but it was his youngest. Constance. who made the notable marriage to Fox-Talbot in 1832.[2]
