Francis K. Newcomer

Francis K. Newcomer (September 14, 1889 - August 16, 1967) was Governor of the Panama Canal Zone from 1948 to 1952.
He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1913. He was commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He served as Panama Canal maintenance engineer 1944-48. From 1948-52 he served as Governor of the Panama Canal Zone.
