Francesco Sanetti (born 11 January 1979 in Rome), is an Italian professional footballer, most famous for playing for Sheffield Wednesday.
Wednesday signed Sanetti on a free transfer from Genoa on 30 April 1998. He made his debut as a substitute at Hillsborough and scored a late consolation goal against Aston Villa in a 3-1 defeat on 2 May 1998. He was rewarded for this performance with a starting role in the next game against Crystal Palace but left the club in July of the following year having just made the single start and six appearances as a substitute in all competitions, scoring that one goal in the process.
