Francesco Pio Tamburrino

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Francesco Pio Tamburrino (1939–) is the current Roman Catholic archbishop of the Archdiocese of Foggia-Bovino, and secretary of the Australian Catholic Bishops' Conference.

In 2001, he signed a decree, much to the dismay of many traditionalists, that no longer required Catholics in Australia to attend Mass on holy days of obligation, with Christmas and the Assumption being the only exceptions.
