Fractal Analytics is a provider of analytics services and works with companies to leverage data driven insights in making business decisions. These solutions are aimed at enhancing profitability of companies by powering their customer management efforts with scientific decision making. Fractal applies advanced analytics to transaction-based data, generates insights into key business drivers and through predictive scoring creates a forward looking view of the client’s business potential and risk. Fractal Analytics has worked with its clients in the areas of customer acquisition, retention, value enhancement, risk management and marketing optimization. The company works in multiple business domains including financial services, insurance, consumer product goods, retail and telecom. The company has offices in New Jersey, California, Singapore, Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkata.

Fractal was started in Year 2000 by five founders : Nirmal Raja Palaparthi, Pradeep Suryanarayan, Pranay Agrawal, Ramakrishna Reddy and Srikanth Velamakanni. Two of the founders Ramakrishna Reddy and Pradeep Suryanarayan have quit recently after building Fractal for 7 years. The three that remained run the firm today.


Nirmal Palaparthi co-founded Fractal and currently heads Fractal's Intellectual Property Development drive. This includes building Analytics Products, Improving Processes and fundamental Research. Prior to Fractal, Nirmal handled Product Management at Times Multimedia, a part of the Bennett and Coleman group. Before that he was with SmithKline Beecham Consumer Healthcare. Nirmal is an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad and a B. Tech. in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras.


Pradeep was responsible for all product development activities at Fractal during the period 2000-07. In his last stint of few years Pradeep was responsible for growing Fractal’s business in the Far East which includes Korea, Taiwan, Australia, etc. Prior to Fractal Pradeep worked for Microsoft India Development Center in Hyderabad and with Wipro and SASKEN. Pradeep is an MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad and a B.Tech in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. Currently Pradeep is working as a Consultant with Adventity, a banking BPO firm, based out of Singapore


Pranay heads business development and client servicing for Fractal Analytics and is presently based out of New Jersey, USA. His responsibilities include new client acquisition, account management and client servicing. Prior to Fractal, Pranay worked in fixed income analytics at ICICI Bank (NYSE:IBN). Pranay holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad and a BS in Commerce at Bangalore University.


Ramakrishna Reddy (RK Reddy) was responsible for Fractal’s business in India, Middle East and Europe in his last few years with Fractal. Prior to Fractal RK Reddy worked with Times of India Group and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). RK Reddy is an MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad and M.Phil in Political Philosophy from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Delhi. Currently RK is working as a Consultant with Adventity based out of its Mumbai office.


Srikanth Velamakanni was designated as Chief Executive Officer of Fractal in May 2006, prior to this he was vice president of the firm. Srikanth is responsible for growing Fractal’s global presence in the areas of Analytics and Predictive sciences. Prior to Fractal, Srikanth worked with ANZ Investment Bank and ICICI. Srikanth holds an MBA degree from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a bachelors’ degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

Srikanth Velamakanni Chief Executive Officer

Srikanth Velamakanni co-founded Fractal in February 2000 and as the Chief Executive Officer, he is responsible for growing Fractal’s global presence in the areas of Analytics and Predictive sciences. He has consulted with firms such as P&G, Citibank, HDFC Bank and SAP in the areas of predictive analytics, risk management & marketing effectiveness.

Prior to Fractal, Srikanth worked with ANZ Investment Bank and ICICI in areas of structured debt transactions and collateralized bond obligation. Srikanth holds an MBA degree from IIM Ahmedabad and a bachelors’ degree in Electrical Engineering from the IIT, Delhi.


Nirmal Palaparthi Chief Architect

Nirmal Palaparthi co-founded Fractal in February 2000 and heads Fractal's Intellectual Property Development that involves building analytics products, improving processes and fundamental research. He has been instrumental in spreading Fractal's services with leading banks in Asia Pacific region and also spearheading delivery of large projects.

Prior to Fractal, Nirmal handled product management at Times Multimedia and led the sales function at Smith Kline Beecham Consumer Healthcare. Nirmal is an MBA from the IIM Ahmedabad and a B. Tech. in Computer Science from the IIT, Madras.


Pranay Agrawal EVP, Business Development & Client Servicing

Pranay heads business development and client servicing, and is part of the founding team of Fractal. He is based out of the New Jersey office of Fractal Analytics. In his earlier role, Pranay has worked in the capacity of engagement manager and led several engagements in the areas of CRM analytics, risk analytics, marketing ROI and consumer insights with multiple Fortune 500 clients.

Prior to Fractal, Pranay worked in fixed income analytics at ICICI Bank and was also part of the core team instrumental in getting ICICI listed on NYSE. Pranay holds an MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad. He is also a certified Financial Risk Manager from GARP.


Deepak Pulakurthi Vice President, Client Servicing

Deepak leads the Client Servicing engagements for Fractal in North America. He has over 10 years of post MBA experience in the outsourcing industry and has helped several clients derive benefits in cost and quality by way of outsourcing analytics services.

Prior to Fractal, Deepak worked in senior positions at iFlex, 24x7 and Aztec. Deepak holds an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad.


Natwar Mall Director, CRM analytics and Business Analysis

Natwar leads the CRM Analytics, Consumer Insight & Business Analytics practices at Fractal and is responsible for delivering successful engagements and developing solutions for these practices. Natwar has advised several Fortune 100 clients in retail, CPG and insurance industries.

Prior to Fractal, Natwar worked with Infosys Consulting (Europe). He has also worked with Unilever and at the internet broking services arm of Kotak Securities. Natwar is an MBA from IIM Calcutta and has a degree in Mechanical Engineer from IIT Bombay.


Kamaljit Singh Director, Marketing ROI and Optimization

Kamal leads the Marketing Mix and Marketing ROI practice at Fractal and is responsible for delivering successful engagements and developing solutions for these practices. He has led engagements with several Fortune 100 CPG and Retail companies.

Prior to Fractal, Kamal was with Gallup International and IIMA Retail Research Center. He was also part of committee appointed by Ministry of Petroleum & Natural gas to review pricing and dealer commission across retail products in 7 countries. Kamal holds a PhD in Quantitative Marketing from IIM Ahmedabad and an MS from Delhi University.


Rajiv Chaturvedi Director, Marketing and Sales - Asia Pacific

Rajiv leads the Marketing and Sales function for Asia-Pacific region and is based out of Singapore. He is responsible for solution design, delivery and client servicing. Rajiv has over 14 years of experience in design and delivery of customer strategies through data driven tools such as analytics, data warehousing, CRM and market research.

Prior to Fractal, Rajiv was working with Carlson Marketing Worldwide as a Director, CRM & Analytics. Rajiv holds an MBA from Webster University, USA.


Prashant Bhatt Chief Financial Officer

Prashant leads the Finance, Accounts, & Administration functions at Fractal Analytics and it's subsidiary companies. He is a Chartered Accountant with 15+ years of Work Experience.

Prior to Fractal, Prashant worked in senior positions with Garware-Wall Ropes, Arvind Brands, Goldmohur, and Godrej Agrovet.


Matt Genone Director, Business Development - North America

Matt leads the business development initiatives for Fractal in North America. He has over 8 years of experience in research and analytics industry and has advised several Fortune 500 companies on analyzing and recommending analytics solutions to optimize their business initiatives.

Prior to Fractal, Matt worked in senior positions with Datamonitor and Nelson-Hall, an outsourcing and advisory firm. Matt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications & Psychology from West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV

Fractal has recently launched Predicta - a predictive scorecard builder for risk scorecards and measuring default probabilities.
