Frédéric Berat (March 11, 1801 – December 2, 1855) was a French poet and songwriter.
Born in Rouen, he was author of a great number of popular songs, most of which are devoted to his native Normandy, and his most popular song was Ma Normandie ("My Normandy"). He earned his living, however, as an employee of the gas company.
