Foyle's War Series Four

Series Four of the ITV programme Foyle's War was first aired in 2006. It comprised two episodes. It is set in 1942. Series Four was broadcast in the United States on PBS on Mystery! on June 17 and 24, 2007. Together with Series Five, it was broadcast as Foyle's War IV.

American soldier Farnetti, refers to training at Fort Benning, Virginia. Fort Benning is in Georgia, not Virginia. The engineer unit wears the shoulder insignia of the 1st Infantry Division which was fighting in North Africa in 1942.

Sam is administered streptomycin in 1942, even though it would not be discovered until the following year and was not available for medical use until later. Also, the entire episode seems to bear a strong resemblance to the testing of Anthrax by the British military on the island of Gruinard.
