Foxdale is a farming district (not a town) north of Proserpine, North Queensland.
It was named after Isaac Alexander Fox, an early pioneer of Proserpine. Isaac Alexander was born in 1838 at sea enroute to Australia, he grew up in Goulburn NSW and married Mary Anne O'Neill in Bowen in 1869. He died in Proserpine in 1918 and is buried in the Proserpine Cemetery.
