Fox on the Run (song)

"Fox on the Run" is a popular hard rock/heavy metal song by the British hard rock band Sweet recorded for the first time in 1974. In 1975 it was also their 14th single and managed to reach number 2 on the British single list, 5 in the USA, 1 in Australia, 1 in Germany, 2 in the Netherlands and 2 in Norway. The lyrics of the song is about groupies. Two versions are known, a original on 1974 album Desolation Boulevard and as 7" single of 1975 (the last one can now be found on the remaster of Desolation Boulevard). Many artists and groups have covered this song, including Scorpions, Eric Singer, Girlschool, The Lolas, Red Hot Chili Peppers, You Am I, Sha-Boom, Touch of Joy, Mad Max, Deadsy and Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13.
