[edit] Delete this article?
This article is poorly written, has misleading information (i.e. the statement that the Dadaists thought a urinal was beautiful is a complete misunderstanding of Duchamp), and, perhaps most important, it is redundant with the Found art article to which Found object (singular) is redirected. emw 14:57, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Factual inaccuracy
Examples:
- Picasso led the way by using a basket and handlebars from a bicycle to create the armature for an appealing goat sculpture(This muddles up two different sculptures.)
- Also see note above from emw
[edit] Original research
Examples:
- Found objects have shape, color, texture--all the elements needed to create design.
- Flat paper collage, and relief-sculpture montages were no longer considered dynamic enough
[edit] Point of view
Examples:
- In the mid-20th century, Picasso led the way
- they deserved more respect simply by being.

[edit] addressed
I've rewritten the article and hopefully these points have now all been addressed. Grutness...wha? 01:29, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
- I concur with Grutness that the above issues have now been addressed in his rewrite of the article. Tyrenius 02:27, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] move to singular, Found object
Because of the rewrite and the other issues that have been brought up, it seemed like this should no longer be deleted. However I don't think the plural form Found objects is the right place, the singular Found object seems to be better. Right now, Found object is a redirect to Found art. I'd like to propose: - to Move the Found objects page to Found object - to redirect the Found objects page to Found object I'd add this comment to the talk page of Found objects as well. - Clubmarx | Talk 19:34, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
