Fothergill's sign
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Fothergill's sign is a medical sign. It can be elicited by:
- Making the patient touch his chest using his chin
- While in this position, press on the patient's abdomen
- While the abdomen is being pressed, ask the intensity of the pain
- If the pain felt is increased or has the same intensity, then it is positive, this means that the lesion is located on the abdominal wall
- If the pain felt is reduced, then the lesion is suggested to be intraabdominal
