This article certainly warrants some :) There's plenty to go on—a quick PubMed search will reveal plenty of recent and ongoing studies, regarding synergistic effect of combination (most frequently with quinolones), emerging resistance and its mechanisms, and a couple of articles regarding its effect in reducing oto/nephrotoxicity of platinum chemotherapeutics.
