Fossmoen
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Fossmoen is a small village in Målselv municipality, Norway, just a 5 minute drive from Bardufoss Airport.
The village is named by the nearby waterfall “Bardufossen” which might be a spectacular sight when the water is allowed to flow in its natural course.
Be aware that this is not the more famous “Målselvfossen” which is located about 5 km up the wally.
The local folklore museum “Fossmotunet”, which is a part of Midt-Troms Museum norwegian page is located here. It is built as farm from the 19th century, using original buildings from Målselv. The museum is open for visitors only in the summer season.
Its population in 1999 was 398 [1], but since 2001 it is not considered an urban settlement by Statistics Norway, and its data is therefore not registered. [2].
