Fosco Giachetti (Sesto Fiorentino, 28 March 1900 – 22 December, Rome, 1974)) was an Italian actor.
Brother of the actor Gianfranco Giachetti.
Protagonist of Lo squadrone bianco (1936), directed by Augusto Genina. He became the leading man in the fascism propaganda films such as Tredici uomini e un cannone (1936), Sentinelle di bronzo (1937), Scipione l'Africano, Edgar Neville's Italian Carmen fra i rossi (1939), L'assedio dell'Alcazar (1940) or Bengasi (1942). He co-starred the Goffredo Alessandrini two part We the Living and Addio Kira!.
During the WWII he acted in Un colpo di pistola (1942) by Renato Castellani, or Fari nella nebbia (1942) by Gianni Franciolini, without obtain the success he got before.
After the war, he came back to stages. He worked in Spain with Edgar Neville in Nada or in Carne de horca. He had a supporting role in 1959 Dino Risi's successful comedy Il mattatore.
In 2003, in Sesto Fiorentino a galleria was opned in tribute to him, the name is Galleria Fosco Giachetti.
