[edit] User:Kappa

I apologize if i offended anyone. This is the first time that i have warned the wrong user, and is not a common practice. I read your comment and appreciate you informing me of my mistake, but i am going to remove it again due to the fact that i have many vandals visit my page to try and argue my revert, and if they see i have preformed a wrongful revert they may argue that i have done bad reverts in the past. I apologize if i offended you by removing you comment. Thank you for your help, See around! Tiptoety 04:47, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Son House Edit

Bwowen,

I edited an entry on Son House this morning, only to have it immediately reversed. I would suggest that you read what I was trying to delete before you reverse my changes. Under the external links heading I found this "hey im brian and you owe me head. you cum guzzling gudder slut." Check it yourself through this link - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Son_House#External_links Echoaa23 14:48, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding Wikipedian zealots

Given that, as you said, you were not an active contributer to the project when this transpired, you probably should not interject your opinion. However, since you have, I will respond: The editor in question was upbraided by The Great And Powerful Wizard Of Oz Himself after trying to get an assistant professor fired from his job for a misguided lesson plan which included making vandalism edits to Wikipedia. She then made her dramatic "Elvis has left the building" exit ("after all I've done for you you have the nerve to treat me this way!!!" or similar blather). That sort of power mad behavior is not something I admire nor something this project needs. I'm glad she left and see no reason for hypocrisy (I speak ill of the dead, as well, which I gather from the tone of your message would also disconcert you). In closing, allow me to grab another quote from my page:

I thank God that I am not a well meaning Wikipedian

[edit] Keeping WP:COOL

I stepped back last night, as I was seriously starting to lose it a bit. WP:TEA did the job. I'm just getting the impression of damned if you do and damned if you don't at the moment. However it's positive, constructive and supportice comments like those of yours that help me get my head screwed back on! Thanks a lot! Pedro :  Chat  13:11, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] League of Copyeditors roll call

Greetings from the League of Copyeditors. Your name is listed on our members page, but we are unsure how many of the people listed there are still active contributors to the League's activities. If you are still interested in participating in the work of the League, please follow the instructions at the members page to add your name to the active members list. Once you have done that, you might want to familiarise yourself with the new requests system, which has replaced the old /proofreading subpage. As the old system is now deprecated, the main efforts of the League should be to clear the substantial backlog which still exists there.
The League's services are in as high demand as ever, as evinced by the increasing backlog on our requests pages, both old and new. While FA and GA reviewers regularly praise the League's contributions to reviewed articles, we remain perennially understaffed. Fulfilling requests to polish the prose of Wikipedia's highest-profile articles is a way that editors can make a very noticeable difference to the appearance of the encyclopedia. On behalf of the League, if you do consider yourself to have left, I hope you will consider rejoining; if you consider yourself inactive, I hope you will consider returning to respond to just one request per week, or as many as you can manage. Merry Christmas and happy editing, The League of Copyeditors.

[edit] Future of Task Forces(part two: Atari)

(a message I left on WPVG talk page) In archive 41, we talked about sending video game series task forces into whole Publisher task forces. Example: Devil May Cry to Capcom. I would like to request that the actual creators of the task forces would meet here to discuss the issue I talk of in Archive 41.Gears Of War 01:50, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
