[edit] NPOV

You may want to read our policy on WP:NPOV to get a better idea of how we use language to create neutrality. When making contentious factual claims, such as that Dahn yoga is something, we attribute the statement to particular sources and we do not blankly say that something is. Rather we say, "so and so says that..." VanTucky Talk 23:19, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] League of Copyeditors roll call

Greetings from the League of Copyeditors. Your name is listed on our members page, but we are unsure how many of the people listed there are still active contributors to the League's activities. If you are still interested in participating in the work of the League, please follow the instructions at the members page to add your name to the active members list. Once you have done that, you might want to familiarise yourself with the new requests system, which has replaced the old /proofreading subpage. As the old system is now deprecated, the main efforts of the League should be to clear the substantial backlog which still exists there.
The League's services are in as high demand as ever, as evinced by the increasing backlog on our requests pages, both old and new. While FA and GA reviewers regularly praise the League's contributions to reviewed articles, we remain perennially understaffed. Fulfilling requests to polish the prose of Wikipedia's highest-profile articles is a way that editors can make a very noticeable difference to the appearance of the encyclopedia. On behalf of the League, if you do consider yourself to have left, I hope you will consider rejoining; if you consider yourself inactive, I hope you will consider returning to respond to just one request per week, or as many as you can manage. Merry Christmas and happy editing, The League of Copyeditors.

[edit] Greetings

Greetings Forestgarden. Thanks for the note you left on Talk:DahnMuDo. I want to compliment you on your aplomb in the face of what I can only characterise as the usual "back and forth" of Wikipedia. Regards, --Bradeos Graphon 03:50, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Constructive criticism from other editors

What aplomb? The man is a zealous Dahn nut!!! Check out all the material online about Dahn, then look at this zealot's contributions to the Dahn page. Forestgarden, don't even try to pretend you care about Wiki policies. The only reason you showed your Dahn face around here is to give the public a false representation of your beloved cult!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.7.160.221 (talk) 07:18, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

YOUR ZEALOUS CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE DAHN YOGA PAGE HAVE NOT GONE UNNOTICED. THEY SHALL BE REMEMBERED! YOU SHALL SURVIVE THE NUCLEAR WINTER, BECAUSE YOU HAVE CHOSEN TO BE A "EARTH HUMAN" CultCoddlersSux (talk) 07:37, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for the compliment. Perhaps I should appreciate that you thought me worth attacking? Forestgarden (talk) 23:16, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] I am so upset, Forestgarden

Your editing and work done on the Dahn Yoga and Ilchi Lee pages is commendable. I realize you have done fantastic work. But I get so upset when I see mention of court documents, allegations, lawsuits, or the wild accusations of Rick Ross. All of this makes me so hurt and upset. I want to see us do well in the world. It's very important that we do. So, you must understand why I want to get rid of all of this controversy nonsense.

I realize I may have gotten heated during my edits. But I never meant to be uncivil. Never!

I will try to make smaller edits in the future. We must get rid of all of this controversy and show it in the best possible light!Matthew Laffert (talk) 10:28, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Matthew, thank you for the compliment regarding my editing. I am trying to follow Wikipedia policies (and help others do the same) while improving articles. Thank you for trying to understand the reality of editing on Wikipedia. If you make wild edits like blanking out entire sections you don't like, your edits will not be respected, and you're likely to get yourself blocked from editing. Regarding the Controversy section you would like to do away with, that is not possible. As I said in my note on your talk page last week, some material in that section is well-sourced and verifiable information and should definitely be in the article. It's true that some of it, especially at the point when you made your rash edit, was not up to snuff and needed to be revised or deleted, but outright deleting the section is not a reasonable option. You clearly are strongly in favor of Ilchi Lee and Dahn Yoga, and it sounds like your personal experiences have been positive, but the article is about what coverage the subject has received in notable and verifiable sources. If you would like to contribute to the editorial process, by all means do so, but it's better not to harrass other editors or make wild edits. Thanks :) Forestgarden (talk) 07:10, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] 恭喜發財

Greetings. I got your note, but am a little busy this weekend with 農曆新年 celebrations. I'll look in when possible, hopefully tomorrow. 恭喜發財! --Bradeos Graphon Βραδέως Γράφων (talk) 20:17, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Ilchi Lee

How are things going at Ilchi Lee? I see a lot of activity and a lot of discussion, but see nothing uncivil or unusual so far. Anything I'm missing? --Bradeos Graphon Βραδέως Γράφων (talk) 23:30, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
