Talk:Fort Independence (Vermont)

[edit] Move
I just moved this article from NY to VT, based on the present day boundary and the mention in Fort Ticonderoga of the "Vermont side". I probably should have checked to see if the border was different in the 18th century. If Mount Independence was in NY when the fort was constructed the my move should be undone and appropriate verbiage added.
It would also be nice if the exact location of the fort on Mount Independence were indicated. I took a stab at it, picking the northern most of two fairly equal peaks, but carefully noted that the Coord was for the Mount, not the fort. --J Clear 15:11, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
- I removed the "title" parameter from the coordinate because that makes it look as if it is the coordinate for the fort. We need for someone to find the location of the fort, unless it is being kept unpublished to protect the site. It is a USGS Named Place with no location, so the location apparently is unpublished.
