- This article is confused. Fort Fisher is about 44 miles south of Holly Ridge and the old Camp Davis. The overhead of the airfield shows the old Camp Davis runway. The discussion about radar facility is probably correct. Besides being a recreation area, the Fort Fisher site is used by the National Guard and hosts the Annual Seafood,Blues and Jazz Festival.
