The aircraft&gliders took-off around 4:00 AM, but does anybody know wetaher it was still night when they landed on the fort?

According to Dupoy - "A Genius for War: The German Army General Staff, 1807-1945" two of the ten gliders didn't make it. The assault force commander's glider, Lt. Rudolf Witzig landed a few miles away from Koln, after his tow rope parted. He convinced a Luftwaffe transport plane to pick up his glider and he and his eight men arrived in midmorning, while the battle was still going. Another squad was released prematurely and landed in southern Holland, They attempted to reach the fort on foot, encountered resistance, and eventually entered the for with the German ground troops, with 121 prisoners in tow.
