[edit] look at the map

The map that shows its points at Yokohama, Guam and wake or the one showing them at Yokohama, Guam and Luzon? The Formosa triangle and Devil's sea are the same - it's just that different writers give different locations for it. But, having said that, if there is nothing especially mysterious about it (and I've seen no evidence despite searching) then its "location" is moot. There is no "Formosa triangle" - if anyone can prove that there is, please reply or I'll make this page a redirect to Devil's sea. Totnesmartin 15:32, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

I'm not sure where did you take these points from, but they seem to be wrong - none of them is anywhere close to Formosa (Taiwan). For the mysteriousness - exactly the same can be said about Bermuda Triangle, yet we do have an article about it. · Naive cynic · 16:19, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
I got the map refs from a reprint of a "The Unexplained" magazine article by Paul Begg. He doesn't mention the Formosa triangle by that name (It's probably more recent than those 25 year old mags); I was trying to say that the Devil's sea and Formosa triangle are the same place, and that the FT name is redundant. Looks like it isn't though. Moral to self: never fact-check in haste! Totnesmartin 21:14, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
