[edit] This article is a crap! needs major rewriting

I've just removed many unsourced statements. Also, remember that this is an encyclopedia, so one must not write its opinion here. And please, add facts only with reliable references. Victao lopes (talk) 21:08, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

"Crap" as you put it is in the eye of the beholder. There was nothing about Formosa or any other town in Goiás before I decided to do all of the municipalities (242) two years ago in the state of Goiás. What there is now in English is much more detailed than anything in Portuguese and less "crappy, as you put it, than the one line that existed before. The word crap, by the way, is uncountable and never takes the indefinite article. Much of the information is from my own firsthand experience, but I have removed what might be considered by some to be POV and included sources for questionable data. The only sources on history of Formosa or the tourist points are the Prefeitura de Formosa itself. If they don't know what the facts are who does? I have taken the liberty to remove the unsightly templates at the top of the page, especially the part that says "crap", which I don't believe allowed by Wikipedia rules. WP:NPA says: "Comment on the content, not on the contributor." Considering that "crap" is not a curse or something, I believe it is in accordance with Wiki policies. Anyway, I admit this word is a bit harsh and I apologize for it. The article is now much better. And please, don't get so upset about the templates, they are there to notify visitors of the page about the quality of the article and to stimulate users to improve it, not to offend the creator of the content or something. I have just edited the page, to remove double-spacing (which is not usual in English), and to place the "Image:zebucattle.jpg" in a more appropriate place. Also, you don't need to say "Photo by (name of person)" on the image cap. I've also edited some references so they are in accordance with the style guidelines. And finally, I added back the "refimprove" tag. Note that some sentences need independent source citing. Victao lopes (talk) 19:39, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
