This image is inaccurate. The center is supposed to be a C.

Carbons are commonly left out in chemical drawings, but it is confusing. Perhaps someone could make a new one? ugen64 01:59, Apr 18, 2004 (UTC)

Yeah, carbons are left out by convention. You try drawing all the carbons in huge macromolecules, and you'll understand why.

Although carbons are typically left out by chemists and other experts in the field, most people viewing this image are not used to seeing that. The diagram with the carbon included would make the most sense to the most number of people. (Sorry for the multiple reverts; I clicked the wrong link.) --kenb215 21:43, August 7, 2005 (UTC)
