The livery editor from forza 2, a game from turn10 for the xbox360, makes it possible to create art on a car by using various vinyl shapes. Having the possibility of using vinyl shapes makes it possible to create everything you want. Most of the designs are anime designs, race liveries or replicas, movie or game based designs and even some of the top artists can create photorealism by shading their vinal shapes with gradient shapes.
You can use 4000 layers in total and some cars with paintable wings have the possibility to use 4200 layers.
Hood/top/trunk: 1000 layers Left side: 1000 layers Right side: 1000 layers Front bumper: 500 layers Rear bumper: 500 layers Wing: 200 layers
You have different types of vinyl shapes like primitives, gradients shapes, stripes, tears, racing icons, flames, paint splats, tribal nature creatures and some fonts including the forza font.
There are also manufacturer decals that are often used in replicas or race liveries, but sometimes the artist has to make his own decal if it's not available by using different kinds of vinyl shapes.
