Forward Operating Base Grizzly

FOB Grizzly (formerly FOB Spartan, FOB Red Lion and FOB Barbarian) is a US Army Forward Operating Base located within Camp Ashraf, Iraq. It is near Al Khalis, approximately 20 kilometers west of the Iranian border and 60 kilometers north of Baghdad.
The FOB is named after the callsign for the 49th Military Police Brigade. They were in charge of the FOB from October 2005 until October 2006. It is currently being run by the 504th Military Police Battalion.[citation needed]
