Incorporated as a non-profit organization on August 1, 1983, the Fort Tejon Historical Association is dedicated to preserving the historic site at Ft. Tejon State Historic Park, California, and educating the public about the park’s role in California and U.S. history. As of 2006, the Association had approximately 400 members. The FTHA is governed by a board of directors of seven people. The current president and chairman is Steve Mata. The FTHA is well known for its monthly Civil War reenactments that take place on the third weekend of every month from May-September.
