Fort Richmond Collegiate is committed to the pursuit of excellence and to providing a safe and enriched community which encourages social responsibility and lifelong learning.

Fort Richmond Collegiate was built in 1967, with a total of 14 graduates and has grown during the past 40 years to a total of 208 graduates in 2005.
A 40th Reunion of Fort Richmond Collegiate, graduation years 1967 to 2007, is occurring May 18 - 20th, 2007.

- In the school year of 2005-2006, 3 National Scholars out of 16 in Manitoba come from FRC. They achieved a score of 4 or 5 on the 5 point AP grading scale on a minimum of 5 AP exams.
- Both the Concert Choir and Jazz Choir have participated in the Canadian Rocky Mountain Music Festival (one of the 2 Canadian National level festivals) every year for the past 3 years.
- The Senior Improv Team made Provincial Finals this year at the Manitoba Improv League. Four FRC students were invited to perform at Rainbow Stage's Musical "Strike"
- In 2005, 72 students received a Centurion Pin. These pins were handed out to students who participated in at least 240 hours of extra curricular activities.
- Out of 6500 students who participated in the University of Toronto National Biology Competition, two students from FRC were placed 2nd and 7th. FRC placed 3rd in the Competition out of over 450 schools across Canada.
- In the class of 2005, there were 256 graduates. 63 of those students received Cum Laude (80% to 89% average) and 32 received Magna Cum Laude(90% and above average). 98 students graduated with 32 credits or more and 8 students with 40 credits or more. 61 scholarships were awarded totalling $220 000.

Various scholarships are offered: some purely for academic achievement, others taking into account the student's contribution to school life. Some are linked to particular universities such as the University of Alberta or the University of Calgary.
