Fort Hamilton High School (HS 490) is a public high school in Brooklyn, New York, USA, under the jurisdiction of the New York City Department of Education. It has stood overlooking the Narrows and Lower New York Bay since 1941. One of the largest public high schools in the state, Fort Hamilton has over 4,000 students enrolled in grades 9-12. [1]

The football team, led by RB Antonio Walcott and QB Jeffrey Legree,WR Keith Stroud has won the PSAL championship two years in a row. {second year with listed QB} They are back to back two time city champions in 2005 and 2006. SS, Julio Lugo who plays for the Boston Red Sox attended Fort Hamilton. The Kings Brothers who played in the NBA attended Fort Hamilton.
The boys' 2007-2008 swimming team won the title of Brooklyn champions, and came in second place in the city-wide competition, losing to Brooklyn Tech.
