Forrestdale contains one of the known habitats of Neopasiphae simplicior, an endangered native bee.[2]

Forrestdale is home to a golf course.

Forrestdale is home to a lake known as Forry Lake, In Winter it is usually full and many different kinds of bird breed. When its dried up you may see idiots riding motorbikes and driving cars out there. People have witnessed other people stealing bikes in winter and walking into the deep water just to hide it. The endangered native bee can be seen out here.
