City Bank Stadium is one of the few high school football stadiums in the country with privately-owned naming rights. FHS varsity football, soccer, and track compete in the stadium. FHS competes in UIL Class AAAA. The school mascot is the Jackrabbit.

All of Forney ISD's 9 elementary and 2 middle schools feed into Forney High School. A second high school was recently approved to handle the large growth the town had experienced.

[edit] School uniforms

All Forney ISD students are normally required to wear school uniforms.[1]

The Texas Education Agency specified that the parental guardians of students zoned to a school with uniforms may apply for a waiver to opt-out of the uniform policy.[2] Parents must provide legitimate reasons that are usually religious or philosophical in nature.

Forney High School has opt-out days during special occasions when the students are allowed to wear something other than the mandatory school uniform.
