The Formula Renault 2000 de America is a Formula Renault 2.0 championship held on Latin America. This series created in 2002 be part of the Copa Corona until 2005 and replacing the Mexican Formula Three Championship. It was the Mexican Formula Renault Championship. Then, the Copa Corona include more series and became Panam GP Series (Clio Cup Mexico, Formula Renault Junior 1.6, Motos 600cc and Formula Kart).
The cars use Tatuus chassis and the 2.0 L Renault Clio engines like other Formula Renault 2.0 series.
