Forksville is a borough in Sullivan County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 147 at the 2000 census. It is the home of the 150 year old Forksville General Store, down the road from the Sullivan County Fairgrounds, and near Worlds End State Park. The name comes from the confluence of Little Loyalsock Creek and Loyalsock Creek within the borough.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 1.5 square miles (3.9 km²), all of it land.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 147 people, 67 households, and 42 families residing in the borough. The population density was 97.6 people per square mile (37.6/km²). There were 94 housing units at an average density of 62.4/sq mi (24.0/km²). The racial makeup of the borough was 95.24% White and 4.76% Native American.

There were 67 households out of which 22.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.2% were married couples living together, 6.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 37.3% were non-families. 29.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.19 and the average family size was 2.74.

In the borough the population was spread out with 17.7% under the age of 18, 3.4% from 18 to 24, 30.6% from 25 to 44, 30.6% from 45 to 64, and 17.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 44 years. For every 100 females there were 107.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 120.0 males.

The median income for a household in the borough was $26,625, and the median income for a family was $31,563. Males had a median income of $26,563 versus $25,417 for females. The per capita income for the borough was $13,943. There were 19.1% of families and 22.1% of the population living below the poverty line, including 36.4% of under eighteens and none of those over 64.

Red Grange - College and Pro Football Hall of Famer was born in Forksville before moving to Wheaton, Illinois at age 5. Grange is widely considered to be the first superstar of the National Football League.
