Forever My Lady is the debut album by R&B group Jodeci. MCA and Uptown Records issued and released the album on May 28, 1991, at the very end of the New Jack Swing, an R&B fad of the late '80's and early '90's.
Most groups are primarily at their best with slow songs. On this album, Jodeci was no exception with songs like "Gotta Love", "Stay", "Come & Talk To Me" and the title track "Forever My Lady". The entire flow of the album was stopped dead in its tracks with the fast songs that made up the second half of the album. Tracks like "My Phone", and "It's All Right" just were not up to par.
Overall, the album performed relatively well in its eighteen months on the Billboard 200 album chart. The album sold three million copies. Forever My Lady is also known as an urban Latino novel by Jeff Rivera.
